As usual, I provided an example below which deals with higher education . . . considering that it has to be career-related . . .
The article talks about a criticism done to the way universities teach students just basic IT literacy skills, instead of providing them more advance programing skills. How good it would be for a professional to also have a set of high level skill in computers.
In the article, it is also pointed out the fact that while we -humanists- develop the ability to think critically, we do not always develop the necessary IT skills. And this should be a must in the world we live in.
One example is give it the one on basic arithmetic skills. Those skills are so elemetary and taken for granted that no one would expect a university to even worry about it. The same posture is suggested towards basic IT skills. Additionally, higher educations should be consistent to the adjective higher.
Many benefits could be obtained by gradutes from receiving education on higher programming skills, and a lot of frustration could be avoided. They could afford to make their on applications and solve already existing applications by themselves . . .

ResponderEliminarHi Teacher!
ResponderEliminarWell, I think that IT skills should be taught at school also, because I think that is easier to learn how to relate with those things when you are young.
Hi! I think your article of the Guardian its very interesant! I also think that the tchnological skills are very important in 2012, but I think the people learn those skills anyway in their life, so the another skills should be more important in the education-system,...
